About the MCA
High-speed Broadband for Maine
Established in 2021, the Maine Connectivity Authority (MCA) is a quasi-governmental agency charged with achieving universal access of affordable high-speed broadband in Maine.
The MCA will work to ensure three goals: 1.) That effective, accessible connectivity be universally available in the state; 2.) that there be secure, affordable, reliable, competitive, sustainable and forward-looking infrastructure that can meet future needs; and 3.) that all residents, businesses and institutions in Maine be able to take full advantage of the economic, health, educational and other opportunities available through connectivity services.
Focusing on projects, places and people, the MCA is advancing digital equity for all Mainers

Take the Maine Broadband Survey!
How can better internet access help grow economic opportunities in your community? What would your life look like with a reliable, fast, and affordable broadband connection?
Share your priorities with us now, so your needs are represented in the Broadband Action Plan!
-
Please share this survey with your friends, family, and communities, and ask them to share their broadband priorities.
-
MCA is in the process of developing translations for the survey and will make those available as soon as possible.
-
You can help people complete the survey by using it as an individual interview tool: ask them the questions and enter the survey responses for them.
-
MCA is also happy to supply hard copies of the survey. You can download a PDF version here, or email us if you would like us to mail you a copy, and then return it to your regional partner or to MCA directly.
Visualizing MCA's Mission
MCA's Broadband Intelligence Platform facilitates the aggregation, visualization, and convergence of many data and map layers and helps us make data-driven decisions. Views into this data are provided in the Interactive Mapping Tool below.
